A car accident has left a 66-year-old Rochester, Minnesota man dead after colliding with another car at the Highway 42 and Highway 14 intersection just outside Eyota, Minnesota, according to the state patrol.
The victim, Marvin Jech, was northbound in his Hyundai sedan on Highway 42 just before 10 a.m. on April 7 when his car collided with an eastbound Ford F-450 pickup truck driven by Joseph Maxwell, 31, on Highway 14.
Jech died at the scene from his injuries, according to the state patrol.
The three individuals in the truck were not injured. The other passengers included Cynthia Maxwell, 52, and Leslie Osweiler, 30 of Iowa. Both of the women we wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
A report says that at the time of the accident, the road was dry, so the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department, along with the state patrol, have been conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
